"Zui" (瑞) means "auspicious," and this piece captivates with its deep, moonlit landscape. It's an enduringly popular work that conveys the true essence of Japanese ceramics.
This katakuchi chawan (spouted tea bowl) features Ninshu's unique "finger-line" technique. Besides preparing matcha, it can also be used as a sake vessel, perfect for serving sake in place of a traditional tokkuri. Its size is ideal for portioning out matcha or Japanese sake, as it holds one go (一合) of sake. We highly recommend pairing it with our ochoko cups.
